Yeah, I know it's not a word. But between the long weekend, travel with intermittent network access, the upcoming Fall quarter at Northwestern, and to top it all off, the post-Katrina nightmare, it seems like a good time for this here blog to take an extended break. Ob link: The fine folks at Flickr have released a major extension to their web service API that let's you find out what photosets, and more importantly, group pools a photo participates in. This is majorly geeky, but you can now take the identifier of a Flickr photo and do some extensive social network navigation using the photo as a starting point. Interestingly, you can walk along human to human connections, and media to media connections, through tags, sets, pools, and contacts.
